AA meeting for Ballymena

THE NEXT meeting of Fountain Place Ballymena Alcoholics Anonymous will be held on Tuesday March 16 at 8.00pm in Ballymena North Centre, Cushendall Road.

The meeting is open to all those in the community who are interested in the problems of the suffering alcoholic. Scheduled to speak at this meeting ate A.A. members who will comment on their past problems with alcohol and their recovery through the programme of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Also present will be a speaker from the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous which is for the relatives or friends of Alcoholics and a Doctor who will give the current professional view on alcoholism.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; They are self-supporting through our own contributions.

A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes.

Their primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
