Abseil Belfast Castle

People from Ballymena and Antrim are being urged to take part in a charity abseil for the Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF).

The charity are hosting their 2nd abseil at the picturesque Belfast Castle on Sunday, October 9.

MRF is on the lookout for some adventurous individuals that will make the 100ft descent all in the name of charity. Meningitis and septicaemia are very serious and affect around 3400 people in the UK and Ireland each year. Belfast Castle is set on the slopes of Cavehill Country Park in a prominent position 400 feet above sea level. Once you are harnessed up and briefed you will make your descent down the side of the Castle’s tower whilst taking in the breath taking views of the City and beyond.

To secure your place you must pay a £30 Registration fee and pledge to raise a minimum of £50 in sponsorship money. You must be 16 years old or over to participate and no experience is required as full training will be given on the day so what are you waiting for.
