After School boost for Harryville
New after school and community facilities have been launched at Harryville Primary.
Run by volunteer parents and grandparents with staff providing expertise for specialist activities, the facilities also feature a full-time Barnardo’s family worker. After school activities include a wide range of sports, ICT, art and craft, film club, cookery, homework club, monster maths, music and drama etc. and the cost is just 50p per hour and is open to any pupil in the school.
The new facility will also host senior citizens coffee mornings, parent and toddler club, parent and grandparent craft class, parent nurturing group etc. Evening activities include yoga and zumba classes, Girls Allowed Club, parents classes and sporting activities.
