Local councillor Stewart McDonald has been rolling up his sleeves for a clean up in the local area.
The TUV Alderman spent time on Thursday afternoon clearing the pathway between Ahoghill and Gracehill.
“The pathway had been allowed to get into a dreadful state with large parts of it completely obscured due to overgrowth and soil,” Alderman McDonald said.
He added: “Of course this is not a usual part of the duties of a councillor but those who know me know that I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty when it comes to issues like this.
“I would like to thank Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for kindly sending brown bins down for me.
“They have also sent the road sweeper out this morning to give the path way a final clean.”
