Annette gets in training for her Great Wall challenge

ACTIVE Annette Andrews from Ballymena is set to trek a portion of the Great Wall of Chine in June this year in aid of local charity Northern Ireland Hospice.

She will cover approximately 60 miles, along with the stony paths that twist up and down in the heat of the Chinese summer.

Annette decided to support the charity and undertake the Great Wall challenge when a family member, who was terminally ill asked her to do a raffle and donate the proceeds to Northern Ireland Hospice to say thank you for the support and care the hospice has given.

To raise funds for the hospice and the challenges ahead, Annette with help from family, friends and work colleagues have completed raffles, bag packing days and also bravely abseiled down the Europa Hotel in Belfast showing the love on Valentine's Day.

Annette would like to say a big thank you to everyone who gave generous donations and those who helped her raise the funds. She now needs your help to reach her remaining fundraising target.

Northern Ireland Adult Hospice gives care and support to approximately 3000 adults and their families each year. The charity heavily relies on donations from the public. It costs around 7million a year to offer care and support to patients and families, who's loved one is terminally ill or has a life limiting condition.
