Launched by the author himself on the occasion of his 91st birthday, the book is an account of his life as a priest in story and prayer - a reflection on his pastoral work in many parishes over six decades.

In her foreword to the book, Baroness Nuala O’Loan DBE, writes: “The reader will encounter surprises, humour, terror, creativity, determination and struggle, but all articulated in the context of the Night Prayer which the Archdeadon, and every othe priest across the world, prays every night”.

Archdeacon Donnelly says: “Over the years the breviary prayers encouraged me greatly in my ministry to the people of God and in my 91st year I feel blessed in my vocation still.”
