Arrests over money laundering

Detectives from Organised Crime Branch have arrested four people as part of an ongoing investigation into money laundering and insurance fraud.

The four suspects, two men and two women, were arrested in Ballymena and Antrim. The men are aged 21 and 34. The women are both 26.

They are being questioned at police stations in Antrim and Ballymena.

This brings to 23 the number of suspects who have been arrested and questioned since May as part of an investigation which is expected to continue for some time.

A police spokesperson said the latest arrests are linked to the money laundering side of the investigation.
