The defendant appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday but full details have yet to be outlined.

Defence solicitor Connel Trainor said it was a “serious case”.

District Judge Peter King asked a prosecutor if they were suggesting the case was motivated by hostility and the reply was: “Yes, it is”.

The case has been adjourned until April for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
