Athletic Santas set for ‘run’

Members of Ballymena Runners will be swapping their vests and shorts for Santa suits as they go ‘on the run’ to raise funds for their chosen charity.

You can expect a sprinting of Santas in and around the core shopping streets from early evening.

Proceeds from the ‘Santa Run’ will be going towards the work of ‘Stand by Me’, a movement of people committed to rescuing and caring for some of the world’s poorest children.

Through their children’s homes, schools and care centres, the charity aims to meet the individual needs of children who have been orphaned, abandoned, abused,victims of war or disease or who are living in extreme poverty.
