Ballymena AA Group’s fiftieth anniversary

THE Ballymena group of Alcoholics Anonymous based at Fountain Place are holding a week of gratitude to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

The group held its first meeting in 1962 in the Braid Valley Hospital and since then have held many meetings within the town.

Over the past 50 years, many people have recovered from alcoholism by following the programme of AA - ‘one day at a time’.

To celebrate this the group are holding an Open Meeting on Friday, April 27, at 8.30p, at 21AA Fountain Place.

It is open to all those in the community who are interested in the problems of the suffering alcoholic.

Two AA members are scheduled to speak and will comment on their past problems with alcohol and their recovery through the programme of Alcoholic Anonymous.

Whether you have been affected by the issue or are interested in learning about the issues surrounding alcohol addiction, the Fountain Place group warmly welcome everyone to this meeting.
