Ballymena catering firm set to invest£300,000

BALLYMENA company Stephens Catering Equipment is investing £319,499 towards business growth and IT training with support from Invest Northern Ireland, it has been announced.

Invest NI offered 111,824, part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), towards the development of a sustainable training and development infrastructure that will deliver measurable business improvements for the company.

Stephens Catering Equipment Limited provides total food service solutions to the catering industry from the design and supply of equipment through to its installation and servicing.

Niall Casey, Director of Business Improvement Services at Invest NI, said: “Stephen’s Catering Equipment has experienced considerable success in recent years, particularly in markets outside Northern Ireland. This significant investment in training and development highlights the company’s drive and commitment to make fundamental improvements which will support business growth in the future.

“Training can improve efficiencies in the overall business operations. The savings made can then be channelled towards further development and allow Stephen’s Catering Equipment to maximise future export opportunities,” he said.
