Ballymena community to benefit from sponsored ‘Read It’

THE Sponsored Read It! Campaign will take place from October 1-31 in line with Children’s Book Week and World Mental Health Day on October 10.

Read It! is being run to encourage children and young people to read as many books as possible and raise valuable funds for Praxis Care. The campaign will be promoted within the Waterstones Stores in Ballymena. Praxis Care Sponsored Read It! 2011 was a fantastic success and was supported by 13 schools and 1,400 children who raised over £13,000.

Praxis Care is the largest Northern Ireland charity providing care for nearly 1,500 children and adults affected by mental ill-health, learning disability, acquired brain injury and dementia. Praxis Care aims to empower adults and children with mental ill health, learning disability, or acquired brain injury to enjoy everyday living, irrespective of the complexity of their needs.
