Ballymena Lion hunts success

BALLYMENA Lions Club has "chalked up" another success in its hunt for new members. At their last meeting Lion President Herbie Park welcomed Ricky Wong as the newest member of the club bringing the total to four new members joining since last October.

Lion Ricky only recently came to Ballymena and is the manager of a Chinese Restaurant. He is the first person to join the Club in its 45 years of existence from one of the ethnic communities now established in the Ballymena area. Lion President Herbie has emphasised that he hopes his recruitment drive will continue with a view to increasing the number of lady members from four at present.

The Club at present in partnership with Ballymena Inter-Ethnic Forum and Dunclug Partnership is organising a Health & Well Being Community Fair that will take place on Thursday, April 15 at Ballymena North Business & Recreation Centre between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Also present will be the Action Cancer Big Bus.
