Ballymena ministry 'reaches and teaches' across Asia

The Founding Director of the ministry Kenneth Wilson is just back from a very successful ministry visit to India, when John Stark and Michael Duff accompanied him. Talking about this, Kenneth said: “We visited a refugee camp in the south of India where 5,000 refugees from Sri Lanka were living. The team were also involved in the dedication of a new Church building in Chennai.”

Kenneth also revealed that Reaching and Teaching Ministries is currently at work in the Philippines, India and Ireland. He went on: “We have two resident missionaries in the Philippines namely Philip and Tracey Johnston and their three daughters who were all born in that country.”

“One of our present projects is building a new Orphanage on the Island of Bohol in the Philippines. This will cost around 30,000. We would appreciate any donations to help with this initiative”, added Kenneth.

During 2006, the organisation moved to its new headquarters in the Global Missions Centre 11-17 Paradise Avenue, Ballymena: “This has been a great blessing to the ministry”, smiled Kenneth.

He continued: “In partnership with Familylife Ministry and FamilyCare-in-Cancer we have opened two charity shops, one in the Global Missions Centre and the other in Ballykeel. The Global Missions Charity Shops are helping to support all three ministries.”

The ministries also have a recycling project where old clothes, bed linen, shoes and handbags are taken. Kenneth commented: “We would appreciate any of these items being left at either shop or if need be we can collect. Presently we are looking for more volunteers for our charity shops. Could you help? We would like to thank all our present supporters and partners and encourage others to become involved”, he concluded.
