Ballymena Poppy Shop and Remembrance Parade details

The ‘Poppy Shop at Ballymena Services Club will be opened on Saturday by the Mayor of Ballymena, Mrs Audrey Wales MBE at 11am.

The shop will be open on Saturday 2nd until 5pm and will reopen on Monday 4 November to Saturday 9 November from 9am to 5pm each day.

The shop will have poppies, badges, wreaths and crosses for sale.

There will also be stalls at the Fairhill and Tower Shopping Centres, and the main Tesco shop at Ballykeel from 2nd to 9th November, excluding Sunday 3rd.

The annual remembrance parade will take place in Ballymena on Sunday 10 November.

The Services Club will be open from 9.45am for those who need to collect their wreath and the parade will form up at the Services Club at 10.15am to march off at 10.25am

Led by the Castlegore Amateur Flute Band, the parade will proceed via Trostan Avenue, Castle Street, Harryville Bridge, Waveney Avenue onto the Galgorm Road to the Remembrance Garden, where a wreath laying ceremony will take place, led by Rev D Kane.

At approximately 11.30am the parade will leave for a church service in West Presbyterian Church. After the church service the parade will form up and march back to the Services Club, via Wellington Street where the Deputy Lord Lieutenant will take the salute.
