Ballymena singer set to perform at Sunflowerfest

MYLES McCormack from Ballymena will be performing at Sunflowerfest 2011, Northern Ireland’s answer to Woodstock and Glastonbury.

With an extensive and exciting line-up of local and national musical talent to play across three stages it will take place from August 19-21 at Tubby’s Farm in the beautiful rustic countryside just outside Hillsborough, Co. Down.

A fantastic weekend of live music, arts, crafts, comedy, poetry and food is on the agenda with performances from a mind-blowing 66 musical acts spanning the width and breadth of Ireland and encompassing a multitude of musical genres.

Myles will be performing on The Campfire Stage on Friday, August 19 - the music starts at 3.15pm.

In the spirit of giving and love Sunflowerfest will once again be raising money to help with the rebuilding of Haiti after the devastating 2010 earthquake.

Last year Sunflowerfest donated £2,300 to Haiti and this year £1 of every weekend ticket sold will once again be donated to this worthy cause. Further to this, the festival will also donate £1 of every weekend ticket price to Barnardos (NI) to help with their early intervention programme targeting children’s mental health.
