Ballymena teacher sings Magical Music on stage

LOCAL teacher Lesley Henry is set to tread the boards in Newtownabbey this February when ‘Magical Musical Theatre’ bursts on to the stage in a brand new show.

Being performed in Theatre at The Mill from Wednesday to Saturday, February 1-4, it will feature a fresh new line-up of show stopping numbers.

A frequent recitalist, both as a soloist and in chamber music, Lesley began her stage career as a young girl performing in musical theatre productions in the Grand Opera House, Lyric, Burnavon and Riverside Theatres before training with soprano Judith Sherridan and at Trinity College of Music London.

Lesley now holds the Fellowship of the London College of Music, the highest accolade the college offers.

Now combining performance with a successful teaching career, this February Lesley will be joining internationally-renowned Irish soprano Virginia Kerr on stage alongside a sparkling cast of local singers and the Theatre at The Mill live band.

More than just a concert, the talented artists will entertain audiences with a fresh new line-up featuring some of the finest and most memorable musical moments from a host of favourite shows including Sunset Boulevard, Mary Poppins, Singing In The Rain, My Fair Lady, Hairspray, The Wizard of Oz, Sound of Music, The Producers and The Lion King.

After a sell out run in 2011, and with seats available from just £10 each, Magical Musical Theatre tickets are likely to be highly sought after as a night out to lift the January blues.
