A total of 30 lodges and accompanying bands will take part in the annual Twelfth in Ballymena - the only town in Northern Ireland which hosts a Twelfth demonstration every year.

According to the Orange Order press office, Lodges with 15 bands plus drumming parties will assemble at Waveney Road car park at 12.30pm and proceed through the town via Galgorm Road, Pentagon, Lower Mill Street, Wellington Street, Ballymoney Street, William Street, Broughshane Street, Broadway, Church Street, Bridge Street, Harryville Bridge, Salisbury Square, Larne Street, Larne Road, Wakehurst Road and Antrim Road to the demonstration field at Ballee Road West.

This year the honour of hosting the parade belongs to the brethren of Kernoghan’s True Blues LOL 1112.

There is always a strong Scottish presence in Ballymena for the Twelfth and this year the Past Grand Master of Scotland, Iain Wilson, will be the guest speaker.

Other senior Orangemen on the platform at the field will include County Antrim Grand Master Robin Matthews, Grand Chaplain Rev Ian McClean and Past Grand Master of New Zealand, Charles Ferrel.

Lodges and bands are scheduled to return from the field at 4.30pm via Ballee Road West, Antrim Road, Queen Street, Waveney Road, Galgorm Road.
