Bangor Worldwide are currently hosting their seventy-ninth annual Convention celebrating and promoting world mission.
The 2015 Convention will finish with a celebration event to be held in the Waterfront Hall on Saturday, August 29.
Professor John Lennox from Oxford University will be the guest speaker and praise will be led by the New Irish Choir and Orchestra and Alistair Hamill and band.
“The year 2015 represents key milestones for some of the mission agencies we work with and so we are celebrating a few anniversaries,” explains Tom Clarke, Convention Chairman.
“One is the 150th anniversary of OMF and we are delighted to have Jamie Taylor, a direct descendent of the founder Hudson Taylor, who is currently working in China, sharing with us at the Waterfront event.
“Open Doors are also celebrating their 60th anniversary so we will have a representative share with us.
“Maud Kells, serving with WEC International, will also take part and tell her amazing story,” said Tom.
To book tickets for the Waterfront Hall celebration event on Saturday, August 29, priced £12.50, visit www.waterfronthall.co.uk or call the box office on 028 9033 4455.
