Beaten toddler case - Gaston calls for clarity

Ballymena Cllr. Timothy Gaston has said that the decision of the PPS not to prosecute anyone for the death of Liam Bennett should not be the end of the matter.

He said: “The circumstances of his death were particularly brutal and were made all the more shocking because of the young age of the victim.

“I very much hope that the investigation will not be closed until someone is held to account for this brutal death and I will be writing to both the PSNI and PPS seeking clarity as to where the case now stands.”
