Veteran fundraiser Betty Campbell MBE will be holding her 26th annual Ladies’ Luncheon in March.
The Templepatrick woman has tirelessly raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for a variety of charities over the years.
Betty was awarded an MBE by the Queen in 2010 for her fundraising, at which point her fundraising total had amassed well over half a million pounds.
The 76-year-old has hosted the popular Ladies’ Luncheon event for the past 25 years and the event has been one of the main fundraising sources for her charity work.
Betty said: “My charity fundraising will be continuing and I look forward to hosting this year’s luncheon.
“Of course, I want to thank everyone for their support over the past 25 years, particularly my husband Billy and family, and also the team at the Templeton Hotel.”
This year’s Ladies’ Luncheon will be held in the Templeton Hotel on Wednesday, March 2 and gets underway at 12noon with drinks on arrival followed by a four course meal at 12.30pm.
Following the meal, there will be entertainment and a guest speaker.
Tickets for the event are £26, with proceeds going to charity, including Macmillan Cancer Support. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Betty on 94432594.
