Burglaries at business premises

DETECTIVES in Ballymena are appealing for information after reports of a number of burglaries at business premises today, Wednesday, in the south of the town.

Shortly after 2.35am, it was reported that a sum of money had been taken from premises at Larne Road in the town in the early hours. It is believed that entry was gained at the front of the property.

A number of items including air guns and chargers as well as a sum of money was taken from another premises in the Larne Road area at around the same time. Entry was again gained at the front of the premises.

Another premises in the area was also entered but a PSNI spokesperson said that it is so far unclear as to what was taken during the incident but that enquiries are continuing.

The spokesperson also said that, at this stage, police believe all three incidents are linked.

Anyone witnessed anything suspicious in the Larne Road area in the early hours of this morning or who has any information is asked to contact Ballymena CID on 0845 600 8000. Information can also be passed anonymously to the Independent Charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
