Farmers to meet over air surveys

The issue of aerial inspections of farms will be the hot topic at a meeting in Glarryford Farmers’ Hall on Wednesday, January 29.

North Antrim Ulster Unionist MLA Robin Swann has queried whether a legal right exists to complete aerial inspections of farms without giving prior notice after receiving questions from farmers and agriculture suppliers alike.

He said that such was the scale of the concern, he will host a public meeting for farmers in Glarryford Young Farmers Hall on January 29 at 8 pm.

The meeting will be chaired by Mrs Jo-Anne Dobson, the Upper Bann UUP MLA, and will have senior DARD officials in attendance.
