Canine Capers at the Tower Shopping Centre this February

BALLYMENA residents should be on the lookout for some four-legged shoppers in February as Dogs Trust Ballymena Rehoming Centre and the Tower Shopping Centre join forces once again to host the “Give A Dog a Home” campaign.

Every Saturday in February between 12pm and 4pm, some of the current canine residents at Dogs Trust Ballymena will be on hand to give afternoon shoppers a very warm and furry welcome. Rehoming Centre staff will also be available to discuss issues including neutering and microchipping.

There will also be a face-painting for children and a special Art Corner for lots of impromptu creative activity.

Ronnie Milsop, Campaigns Manager of Dogs Trust said: “This is a great opportunity for us to bring our four legged friends out and about to meet the Ballymena community. This is the 6th year that Dogs Trust and the Tower Shopping Centre have hosted this event and it has proved to be hugely successful, leading to the adoption of so many homeless dogs. Last year, as a direct result of the joint campaign, we raised over £350 and the centre rehomed six dogs. We look forward to meeting shoppers in February.

So, make no bones about it if you’re interested in meeting the dogs or would like to take part in the competition then come along to the Tower Shopping Centre one Saturday in February to find out more about the “Give a Dog a Home Campaign”. The stand will be located in the main mall between 12pm and 4pm on each Saturday.
