Carniny marathon effort

Earlier this year, Joan Hamill, mother to Brian, Victoria, Jenny and Liana, sadly passed away from cancer.
Earlier this year, Joan Hamill, mother to Brian, Victoria, Jenny and Liana, sadly passed away from cancer. In memory of a wonderful mother, and to raise money for charity, Victoria, Jenny and Liana completed the Belfast City Half marathon. Victoria, a teacher at Carniny PS, received support from three other members of staff who also decided to take part in the event. They are (pictured kneeling from left) William Peacock, Ruth Todd, Victoria Wylie and Darren Caldwell, and the pupils are showing their delight at the efforts of their teachers. Cancer Focus NI was the official charity of the event, and to date a total of £2240 has been raised  in memory of Joan. The family would like to thanks to all those who generously gave sponsorship.
