Caution likely for man who broke window

A JUDGE has indicated that a case of a Ballymena man who broke a window may be dealt with by way of a police caution.

District Judge Des Perry was speaking after hearing the case of Darrell Watson, at Ballymena Magistrates Court.Watson (24), of Ross Park, admitted breaking the window on June 24 last year.

Solicitor Liam McKendry said Watson had “no criminal record whatsoever” and had provided restitution of 70.

Adjourning the case until March 11, the judge said that a caution might be an “appropriate” means of disposing of the case. “He is someone of previously good character and is making good the damage,” the judge added.
