‘Cesar’ the day for vehicle marking at Livestock Mart

BALLYMENA PSNI, in partnership with the CESAR Marking Scheme, are helping farmers to prevent the theft of vital farm vehicles, such as tractors, plant and quads, by holding a unique ‘CESAR It’ day at the town’s Livestock Mart on Tuesday, April 17.

The fitting of the popular CESAR vehicle marking system will be offered at a hugely reduced price at the event.

CESAR is a registration scheme giving peace of mind, that your equipment is protected by state of the art technology.

It is a visual deterrent to thieves and aids identification, by making it easier to return to its owner, property that is stolen and recovered and CESAR has the added benefits of having no annual fees and reducing insurance costs.

The system is approved and recommended by the Police Service of Northern Ireland and the Association of Chief Police Officers.

The first 30 farmers who register for the ‘CESAR It’ day can have the benefit of a CESAR kit fitted to one of their vehicles at a price of £79 (plus VAT), for larger machinery and £69 (plus VAT), for quads/ride lawnmowers etc. This is a huge reduction on the standard ex-VAT prices of £150 and £140 respectively.

Inspector John Allen said: “This scheme is just one of a range of events and projects being held, as part of a Northern Ireland-wide action by the Police Service of Northern Ireland, to tackle farm thefts and help members of the rural community to protect their property.”
