Childminders get off to 'Good Start'

A GROUP of childminders recently completed the Getting off to a Good Start programme delivered by NICMA - the Childminding Association, in Ballymena's Leighmohr House Hotel.

NICMA’s Getting off to a Good Start is intended to support newly registered childminders in developing quality childcare and good business practice.

The learners had to complete a First Aid course and a Business Development programme.

Paediatric First Aid was delivered by Sean Mullan, Blue Light Training, and the Business Development training was delivered by NICMA’s Training Co-ordinator, Maeve Milne.

The course was facilitated by Clare McKay NICMA Childminding Development Officer and funded by the Northern Childcare Partnership.
