Christmas lights event
Tuesday, November 12 looks set to be the date for the annual Christmas lights switch-on in Ballymena.
While the date, which was proposed by Ballymena Town Centre Development (BTCD), was agreed when it went before last week’s meeting of Council’s Economic Growth & Development Committee, it has to be ratified at the November monthly meeting.
The event is planned to start at 6.30pm with the switch on at 7.15pm which will be performed by the Mayor, Cllr Audrey Wales and a child from a local school.
Around the switch on will be live music, children’s entertainment and radio DJ’s.
