Civic representation agreed for all Mid & East Antrim Remembrance Services

Mid & East Antrim Council is to be represented at each of the Remembrance Day services being held throughout the borough.

Councillors approved the move at their monthly meeting after an officer’s report stressed the importance of borough-wide attendance “to ensure continuity from previous years and predecessor councils”.

Services will be held around the borough at - Ballymena War Memorial at 10.50am prior to the church service at First Ballymena Presbyterian Church at 11.30am; Carrickfergus War memorial at 10.30am; Larne War Memorial at 11am and afterwards to St Cedma’s Church of Ireland; Whitehead War Memorial at 11am; Glynn from Glenvale Park at 2pm proceeding to the village War Memorial and afterwards to St. John’s Church of Ireland; Ballycarry service details to be confirmed.
