Coaching4Christ reaches out in Church Street

SHOPPERS on Church Street can visit a wide range of stores selling most of the items that you would ever need.

One of the most recent additions to the ‘row’ of respected emporiums is Reaching Out, a Christian ‘not for profit’ shop, which opened in November 2012.

It uses its proceeds to support and expand the outreach work of Coaching4Christ Ministries - both locally and internationally.

A spokesperson said: “Coaching4Christ (C4C) is a Christian sports coaching organisation that uses sport as a platform from which to tell young people all over the world of God’s love for them through Jesus Christ.

Starting out in 2004 with a vision from God to use sport to spread this message. C4C now has 42 coaches and staff from various backgrounds working together for the glory of God.”

Reaching Out offers opportunities for all of the body of Christ to serve in a calm and peaceful and loving environment. ‘In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven’, Matthew 5 v 16.

The shop is open from Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-4.30pm.

“All our volunteers display the love of God in word and deed. We are very pleased with how trade has been since ‘Reaching Out’ opened in November”, she added.

An on-going supply of good quality stock is always needed. This can be donated by coming to the shop from Tuesday to Saturday 10am-4pm.

The spokesperson concluded: “We would like to sincerely thank all those who have made donations to Reaching Out since our opening we have been overwhelmed by the response.”
