Duo charged over hair salon burglary

A man and woman have appeared in court on charges relating to a burglary at a hair salon in Ballymena.

Damien Martin Marron (29), of Orchard Way, Portglenone, is accused of entering the Church Street premises as a trespasser on May 9 and stealing £2,500.

Chantelle Geraldine Mooney (27), of Halfgayne Road, Swatragh, is charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.

She is further charged, on May 16, with possessing criminal property and possession of a class B drug, Diazepam.

The case against the pair was adjourned until next month, when they appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court.

Marron and Mooney were remanded on continuing bail to appear again on June 11.
