Ballymena police are investigating the report of an assault by ‘three or four men’ on a 17-year-old youth in the town on Sunday.
The incident happened at around 9pm on Sunday 15 February in the Brooke Park area of Harryville.
Inspector Alison Ferguson said: “A 17 year old reported that he was assaulted by 3-4 men that got out of a burgundy coloured VW Passat car.
The 17 year old suffered a dislocated shoulder after being punched to the ground by the group of men. He has also suffered cuts and bruising to his face, arms and legs as a result of the incident.
“Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police in Ballymena on the non-emergency number 101.”
