THE April meeting of Cullybackey Women’s Institute attracted a good turnout of members to the Cuningham Hall where they were warmly welcomed by president, Betty Kyle.

She extended a special welcome to guest speaker Charles Barber who gave a talk on ‘Old Money’ which encompassed old postcards and stamps as well as on collecting coins and notes of yesteryear.

Anne Jamieson gave a vote of thanks and the winners of the competition for ‘an unusual coin’ were announced as Hilda Lamont - first and second; Violet Williams, third and Ann Bamber, fourth.

Birthday girl for April was Anna May Johnston and the president also extended congratulations to Rosemary Kennedy, Myrna Douglas and Elizabeth McIlroy on being awarded tropies at the recent WI agm.
