Mid & East Antrim Deputy Mayor Timothy Gaston has volunteered to have his legs waxed to raise money for a cancer charity.
The focus of his efforts during his term of office will be Action Cancer and to raise funds for the cause he’s agreeed to endure the tortuous treatment in front of the Ballymena public in the Fairhill Shopping Centre on Saturday August 22.
He said: “We all know someone who has suffered from Cancer; a family member, friend or neighbour.
“Action Cancer needs continual support so they can do things like provide the Big Bus across Northern Ireland, in order to increase the number of early detections of Cancer.
“In Northern Ireland someone receives a cancer diagnosis every hour of every day, and it is estimated one in two of us will receive a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime.
“If you would like to support Action Cancer, you can either contact me directly or donate online by going to www.justgiving.com/Timothy-Gaston
