Drink in the atmosphere on a visit ‘Netty’s Vintage Tearoom’

MOST of us are already aware of the restorative effects of tea, but think how much more relaxing and invigorating the perfect cuppa would be if you were able to enjoy it in the carefully-crafted ambience of an old-style tearoom.

Well, that’s the experience that awaits you in the award-winning village of Ahoghill, where Netty’s Vintage Tearoom has been causing quite the stir.

Owner, Lynette Purdy, is well-known locally for her ‘Nettylicious’ range of cupcakes and traybakes and this wonderful Vintage Tearoom is her latest innovation.

Inside, visitors will find Netty’s full range of baked goods on sale, from her exclusive cupcakes to trifles, cheesecakes, traybakes and scones. Also on offer is an extensive range of made-to-order sandwiches, wraps, baguettes and panini as well as fresh soup – a different variety every day.

And to drink, Netty offers plenty of fresh coffees to choose from and, of course, the widest range of quality, fresh teas – all guaranteed to hit the spot. Look out especially for Netty’s wonderful Revolution range, which offers everything from delicious full-leaf teas to those flavoured with fruits, spices and herbs.

Aside from all that, Netty’s also has an exhaustive selection of hand-made crafts for sale – much of it manufactured locally and exclusive to the tearoom. Eye-catching picture frames, laundry bags and tea caddies would make perfect gifts this Christmas – and lots of the items for sale can be personalised or made-to-order.

But it’s the surroundings themselves that really set Netty’s apart as an experience not to be missed. Inside the tearoom, specially created ‘shabby chic’ furniture has been thoughtfully matched with the clean and quirky décor to create an atmosphere that’s timeless and truly relaxing.
