Drove while over limit

A one-year ban from driving and a £150 fine have been imposed at Ballymena Magistrate's Court on a Czech man detected driving with excess alcohol.

He was Jakub Ciznar (25) of Glenravel Park in the town.

Last Thursday’s court sitting in Antrim was told that Ciznar was found to have 127mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood when he was stopped by police on the Crankill Road dual carriageway on August 22, 2009.

Ciznar was fined a further 25 by the court for a charge of failing to produce his driving licence to police within seven days of being asked when stopped at Crankill Road.
