Euromillions winner considering going public after £35million jackpot win

A £35 million EuroMillions winner is considering whether to go public about the life-changing jackpot, operator Camelot has said.

The claim from last Friday’s draw has been validated and the £35,170,063.70 is in the process of being handed over.

Camelot said no details of the winner would be released while they weigh up whether to publicise the win or remain anonymous.

A National Lottery spokesman said: “It is an especially lucky time for lottery players in the UK.

“This is the seventh EuroMillions jackpot winner this year, and comes just as we are celebrating the creation of 4,000 National Lottery millionaires.

“The ever-growing millionaires club is gaining around six new members a week, changing the lives of thousands of people across the UK.

“A jackpot win of £35m is truly life changing and we’re delighted the ticket-holder has come forward and can now begin to enjoy their prize.”

Earlier last month a UK player banked £22.4 million, and June saw the biggest win so far this year with one ticket-holder celebrating a £93 million win.
