Exploring Christianity in Ahoghill

NEXT week sees the beginning of an exciting new venture for the people of Ahoghill with the renowned Christianity Explored Course coming to the village.

This course, organised by the three Presbyterian churches, includes a mixture of discussion and video presentations about Jesus Christ.

The videos are fast moving and feature Rev Rico Tice of the famous All Souls church in London, speaking about who Jesus claimed to be, what He came to do and the call He makes to people both 2,000 years ago and today. Over the years this course has been used to see many people turn from atheism and nominal religion to life changing faith in Jesus.

The course begins on Wednesday 14th April at 8pm in Trinity Presbyterian Church Hall and Ahoghill Community Centre and on Thursday 15th April at 8pm in Brookside Presbyterian Church Hall. The course material will be the same in each venue and the courses will continue for seven to ten weeks on the same night in each venue.

One of the organisers Rev William Moody told the TIMES, "We're thrilled at the prospect of doing Christianity Explored as it is such a well designed course and it deals with the most crucial questions people can ever face. It is both for those who go to church and those who do not and we therefore encourage all to come along.”

“Those of us organising the course have known our lives transformed by this person Jesus Christ and we have a sure and certain hope of heaven because of what Jesus has done at Calvary to save His people from their sins. Our great longing is that many more in our community will come to know this reality."
