Festival dancers step out at The Braid

THE Braid Arts Centre was the setting on Friday and Saturday for the Irish Dancing section of Ballymena Music Festival.

Adjudicator for the two days was Mrs Emma Kelly-Tokic from Belfast was very complimentary of the competitors, teachers and parents stating she felt the standard to be extremely high, thus making her decisions very difficult.

The 250 dancers represented the five local dancing schools of the borough - Arran, Castletown, G Donnelly, Nine Glens and Seven Towers and they were accompanied by local musicians Mrs Rose Murray, piano, and Mr Leslie Craig, accordian.
