Find new hope at Mission Revive

AS the members of West Church continue to celebrate their congregation’s 150th anniversary, they are also keen to play a role in the building up God’s Kingdom both now and for the future.

With this objective in mind, they are planning Mission Revive – a series of nightly events which will run from Monday, February 25, until Friday, March 1.

From 7.30pm each evening, there will be worship (with some guest musicians), testimonies so that you can hear what God has been doing in other people’s lives and an opportunity for prayer ministry. Each meeting will be followed with a time of fellowship in the ‘Lounge’ area where tea and coffee will be served. Creche facilities and a programme for primary school children will be provided on the Friday evening to make it easier for you to attend.

In a time when we are hearing so much bad news, you are invited to come and hear the Good News...come and hear the message of hope! Speaking at these meetings will be Rev. Dominic Smart, who is currently the Minister at Gilcomston South Church in Aberdeen. The church has a long tradition of expository teaching and an increasing engagement in city centre witness and ministry.

As well as speaking at conferences, churches and universities, Dominic has written several books, works with Langham Preaching and has been involved in the Faraday Institute’s Test of Faith’ programme.

He and his wife Marjorie have four children and also cope with two Cocker Spaniels. His hobbies include searching for the perfect coffee; at the moment he’s on Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.

What Dominic has to say will be of interest to women and men of all ages, and those involved in the business world.
