First Ballymena supports NI Hospice and ‘Caring for Life’

This will be held on Saturday, December 8, at 7.30pm in the Church building at Meetinghouse Lane.

Two very worthy organisations will be supported by a retiring offering on the night itself - NI Hospice and Caring for Life.

Caring For Life is a registered Christian charity with the aim of sharing the love of Jesus with homeless or vulnerable people by providing accommodation, on-going support, love and friendship, and when necessary, providing that care ‘for life’! Such care enables people to develop dignity and self-respect. Their motto is simple, “Sharing the Love of Jesus.”

It believes that all men and women are made in the image of God, and that leads us to treat people with dignity and respect. Most of those they support have been afforded little respect in the past. Their principles of care spring from the example of Jesus Christ and the way He reached out to those who needed help.

The Northern Ireland Hospice is a local charity caring for local people. Each year it cares for over 3,000 adults, children and young people with life-limiting and life threatening conditions, both in hospice and in the community. It also supports their families and carers.
The adult hospice is based at Somerton House, Somerton Road, Belfast and the children’s hospice at Horizon House, O’Neill Road in Newtownabbey.

Also taking part in the concert will be the Ballymena Presbytery Choir and other friends. All are most welcome to attend, a cup of tea will be served in the church hall afterwards.
