New arrangements for the distribution of food caddy liners to Ballymena residents will change from this month to harmonise the brown bin collection service in Mid and East Antrim Council.

Currently householders place a red tag on their brown bins due for collection and a roll of caddy liners is left by the crew or they contact the Waste Operations department at Pennybridge or the Waveney Road Recycling Centre and liners are provided.

From February, all households in the Ballymena area will receive a pack during normal black bin collections which will include one roll of liners for use in caddy bins. Additional rolls will be delivered a further two times free.
