Frew bowled over by work at Broughshane green
Maintenance work at Broughshane Bowling Green and proposed improvements have been welcomed by local MLA Paul Frew.
Mr Frew said: “Council staff have been out and trimmed and topped the hedgerow and have come to an agreement with the local club that once the season ends money will be found to completely remove the hedge and replace.”
He added: “I had been approached by members of the local club who were annoyed at the lack of maintenance on and around the green, namely the weeds growing in through the hedgerows contaminating the actual bowling green and the unsightly nature of the hedgerows.”
