Frew revved up by Carfest

DUP MLA and Ballymena Councillor Paul Frew has lavished praised on Saturday’s Ballymena Carfest and Truck Show, hailing it “exciting and highly anticipated”.

Mr Frew was one of the many visitors who turned out to support the event which attracted a vast number of diverse entries including vintage, classic and modified cars, a wide range of trade stands and children’s entertainment .

Cllr Frew said: “The Ballymena Carfest was a great family day out with lots of vehicle classes and entertainment to keep the whole family amused. The wide variety of cars, trucks, tractors and motorcycles that were entered made Carfest a day not to be missed for all vehicle enthusiasts.”

The event was carefully organised to showcase the very best of the motoring world with the stunt driving team putting on an amazing show and drawing a large crowd of spectators.

The wide selection of truck stands and entertainment such as bouncy castles and digger challenge meant there was plenty of attractions for all ages of visitors.

In between viewing the cars there was live music and line dancing displays and plenty of opportunities to sample some great fare at the many food stands that were available.

Cllr Frew said: “The Ballymena Carfest and Truck show is an exciting and highly anticipated local event which I hope will continue to flourish and expand for many years to come. I offer my support and my services to the organisers of this great event as I have in the past. I recognise the tremendous benefits to Ballymena hosting this event, attracting visitors from all over the British Isles.”
