Funds for ‘jobs’ training

Match funding of up to £13,396 is to be contributed by Ballymena Borough Council for two new local training programmes aimed at getting people into employment.

One will take place in Ballykeel Business Centre and the other in Ecos during 2014 and will provide training and mentoring to help participants achieve a CCEA accredited qualification with the aim of getting them into sustainable employment or self employment.

Ballymena Borough Council provided match funding support for three successful ‘Exploring Enterprise’ programmes in Ballymena last year, including one specifically for former Patton’s employees.

The coming two Exploring Enterprise2 Programmes will be delivered by LEDCOM.
