Gang of four force way into Ballymena home

Police are appealing for witnesses following a '˜home invasion'in the Carniny Road area of Ballymena.

Detective Constable Sharkie said: “This morning (Thursday 23 February) between 11.10am and 11.30am, four males forced their way into the property.

“The house was ransacked and a sum of money and jewellery stolen. Red liquid was spilled over the kitchen worktop and on a wall in the hallway.

“The group of men involved are described as being in their mid-20s. One was described as well-built. Three were wearing black bomber-style jackets and the fourth was in a blue and white checked shirt. They made off on foot on the Carniny Road towards Carnview Park.
