Golfers can pay a 'flying' visit to Galgorm

IN the lead up to this month's Galgorm Castle Northern Ireland PGA EuroPro Open, the Ballymena club broke new ground by becoming the first course in the province to embrace the latest 3D Flyover technology to showcase their championship golf course.

3D Flyover is the “new vision of golf” and is a breakthrough in golf course presentation. The package provides golfers an instant overview of the golf course and shows each hole from tee to green.

From an elevated vantage point each moving image reveals the character of the terrain on every hole plus provides a continuous overview of the hole as opposed to a series of photographs. With 3D Flyover users can turn around and look back up the hole to get another perspective on the terrain.

“We are very pleased with this new and innovative presentation of our course,” says Gary Henry, General Manager Galgorm Castle Golf Club.

“The 3D Flyover ticks all the boxes and we will be using it to help market and promote golf at Galgorm.”
