Principal Lesley Meikle told the Times that the party is a great way to end a very productive year for the school, she said: “I am very, very proud that we have reached this landmark.

“The party was a chance to enjoy this milestone and it was organised through the hard work of Emma Russell, Rebecca Hill, Sara McAnally and Amy Falls.

“Staff have worked themselves into the ground, and this has shown what we are capable of. The children really have benefited from the staff’s hard work.

“This year we have had some excellent results. I am so proud of what we have achieved. Our staff have all worked over and above what is required and the hard work has paid off.”
