Did you know you could learn to lip read for free in Ballymena?
Ballymena Club for the Hard of Hearing runs Lip Reading Classes, free of charge, on Saturday mornings.
The next evening meeting for the group will take place on Wednesday, February 12 at 7.30pm in Ballykeel Business Centre. It will be a member’s night and Annual General Meeting.
Roberta Boyd, Secretary of the Club, said: “We would like to invite anyone with hearing loss to attend any of our meetings. It gives them a chance to meet with others who know how the loss of hearing not only affects them but also their family.
“We have a very varied programme of talks and activities planned for our monthly meetings and the Club also.”
Last month the club were informed and entertained by a talk from Matthew Warwick from the Ulster Scots Association.
The Lip Reading Classes are funded by Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland.
